In Austin, Cencor’s renovation of Capital Plaza, one of the largest and oldest shopping centers in Austin, completely upgraded the center’s appearance. The Weitzman Group, as leasing agent, worked in conjunction with the renovation to add new anchors, including Target, Ross Dress for Less and Conn’s Appliances.

Capital Plaza, located at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Highway 290, incorporates approximately 430,000 square feet of retail space. The center’s new anchor is a 127,825-square-foot Target, which was constructed from the ground up at the site of a demolished Montgomery Ward store. The renovation provided Capital Plaza with a classic look through a stucco façade with masonry accents and raised towers for tenant identification and visibility. Columns at the center also received new a new brick-and-masonry appearance.
