JUST FITNESS LOCATES IN DALLAS' HISTORIC CASA LINDA PLAZA

DALLAS—Just Fitness, a popular national fitness operation, has leased 20,765 square feet of junior anchor space in Casa Linda Plaza, a historic shopping center located at the high-profile East Dallas intersection of Buckner Boulevard and Garland Road, for its first area location.

Marc Marrocco, Perren Gasc and Beau Barkerding with the Commercial Retail Division of The Weitzman Group handled negotiations for Just Fitness. Michael Hale with AmREIT represented the shopping center ownership.

Just Fitness plans to completely renovate the space, which formerly housed 24 Hour Fitness, with an opening planned for late summer. The chain offers reasonably priced memberships, personal training at competitive prices and a full range of quality equipment. Just Fitness operates locations in key markets such as Atlanta and Salt Lake City.

Casa Linda Plaza, which recently underwent an extensive renovation, opened in 1945 and is famed for its Spanish-Revival architecture.  Today, the center has a retailer and restaurant line-up that includes Albertsons, Highland Park Cafeteria, Petco, Starbucks, Bonnie Ruth’s Bistro, The Maddox Shop, Chili’s, Blockbuster, Schlotsky’s, El Fenix (which opened in 1956) and Wachovia.
