BURCIAGA TO HEAD WEITZMAN INVESTMENT ADVISORY TEAM

DALLAS—The Weitzman Group, a leading Texas-based commercial real estate brokerage services firm, announced today its plans to enhance its investment properties capabilities offered through the company’s Investment Advisory Services. A new division name (it previously was called Investment Properties Group) also reflects the broader range of services offered the division.

One of its first steps toward enhancing the company’s investment properties services is to bring on JC Burciaga, a commercial real estate professional with more than 20 years of experience, as senior vice president and director of the division.

“JC Burciaga brings a depth of market knowledge and transactional experience that will enable him to provide strong leadership for the Weitzman Investment Advisory Services team, which includes some of our most experienced and successful brokers,” said Marshall Mills, president and chief operating officer Weitzman/Cencor.

Prior to joining Weitzman, Burciaga ran his own firm, JCB Unlimited, where he was responsible for commercial acquisitions and development for high-net-worth individuals throughout the United States. Burciaga has been involved in transactions totaling more than 3 million square feet of retail and 1,000 apartment units, as well as other types of commercial real estate, valued in excess of $500 million..

“Burciaga’s wealth of experience in production and team leadership make him the ideal person to make a strong investment team stronger,” said Bob Young, managing director.

Burciaga began his real estate career in 1986 with Fort Worth-based Norman Lindley Company. He later joined The WOODMONT Companies, where he was a senior vice president and investment properties broker.

Burciaga is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the CCIM Institute and the Real Estate Council.  He attended Texas Weslayan University in Fort Worth and is a candidate for the prestigious Certified Commercial-Investment Member designation.
