September 22, 2009 EXTREME PITA LOCATES IN DOWNTOWN AUSTIN AUSTIN—AUSTIN—Extreme Pita, a quick-serve restaurant that customizes rolled pitas to suit the individual tastes of health-conscious customers, has leased 1,378 square feet of retail space in Bank of America Center, located downtown at 515 Congress Avenue, for its first Austin location. Andrew Scroggie with the Commercial Retail Division of The Weitzman Group handled negotiations as exclusive tenant representative for Extreme Pita in Central Texas. Extreme Pita, founded in Canada in 1997, now has franchise locations throughout Canada and in the United States, including eight in Texas.  Bank of America Center, located on Congress Avenue at East Sixth Street, features street-level retail accessible to the downtown business and residential population.
