NORDSTROM RACK OPENS AT SHOPS OF SOUTHLAKE
SOUTHLAKE—Nordstrom Rack officially opened its only Tarrant County location in
Southlake on Friday, August 21. The renowned retailer opened in a
35,000-square-feet store in Shops of Southlake, a lifestyle shopping center
located at the intersection of E. Southlake Boulevard and S. Carroll Avenue,
across from Southlake Town Square. Hundreds of people showed up Friday morning
for grand-opening specials.
Nordstrom Rack anchors a new 50,000-square-foot expansion for the center.
Nordstrom Rack is a unit of Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. Nordstrom Rack is the
company’s off-price retail division, offering savings of 30 to 70 percent on
apparel and accessories for women, men and children, including one of the most
extensive collections of name-brand shoes available.
Nordstrom Rack merchandise is made up of products from Nordstrom full-line
stores and the company's online store at Nordstrom.com, as well as special
purchase items.
Shops of Southlake is anchored by upscale specialty grocer Central Market and
features a lifestyle mix with concepts including Bailey Banks & Biddle, Coal
Vines, Swoozie’s, Pier One, DSW, Cherish, Jean Connection, Learning Express
and many more.
Shops of Southlake is a project of Cencor Realty Services, which also manages
the center.
Shops of Southlake enjoys a regional draw, thanks to the power of Central Market
and the center’s location directly across from Southlake Town Square, one of
the most successful “Main Street”-style projects in the United States. Shops
of Southlake’s architecture and layout of complements that of Southlake Town
Square, and the two projects together create one of the strongest regional
lifestyle retail districts in the United States.
The architect for Shops of Southlake is Charles Hodges Architects.
In addition to Nordstrom Rack, GameStop also is opening its
new-generation store on August 21. Additional retail set to open soon at Shops
of Southlake includes Let's Makeup, a makeup specialty store, and Yogurtland, a
successful yogurt concept.
Shops of Southlake is exclusively leased by The Weitzman Group under the
direction of Weitzman’s Michelle Caplan and Earl Harris.
