DICKEY'S LEASES NEW SAN ANTONIO RESTAURANT SITE

SAN ANTONIO—Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, an iconic barbecue restaurant founded in Dallas in 1941, has leased 2,500 square feet of restaurant space in Park North Plaza, a major regional redevelopment project located at 626 NW Loop 410, for a new San Antonio-area location.

Phil Telisak and Gene Williams with the Commercial Retail Division of The Weitzman Group handled negotiations for Dickey’s Area Developer Max-E Enterprises, Inc., as site selection agents for the restaurant in South Texas.

Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. opened its first restaurant in 1941 and began franchising in 1994. Still run by the Dickey family, Dickey's serves customers across the U.S. and internationally. Dickey's Barbecue Pit restaurants are among the top 20 fastest growing fast-casual concepts. Dickey's is known for its secret barbecuing methods, fresh sides and salads. The Park North location is set to open in October.

Park North Plaza represents the complete redevelopment of the former Central Park Mall. The new project will be anchored by Target, which is set to open this fall.
