WEITZMAN NAMED LEASING AGENT FOR REGIONAL RETAIL CENTER

HOUSTON—The Houston Commercial Retail Division of The Weitzman Group has been named exclusive leasing agent for The Village at West Oaks, a 280,000-square-foot regional retail center located at the northwest corner of Highway 6 and Westheimer.

The Weitzman Group  is responsible for leasing.

The Village at West Oaks, owned by a California-based charitable trust, offers a range of strong anchor retailers, including Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond,  Barnes & Noble, Ross Dress for Less, OfficeMax, T.J. Maxx, Ulta, Souper!Salad, Mattress Warehouse and more.

The Village at  West Oaks benefits from a dense, affluent population. Within a five-mile radius of the center, the trade area shows 278,694 people with an average household income of $73,534. The trade area also is growing. Between 1990 and 2000, the population within the trade area increased by 31.4 percent.

The Houston office of The Weitzman Group currently handles leasing at more than 32 shopping centers with a total of more than 4 million square feet of retail space
