Professional Background
Blake Shipp is an Assistant Vice President with
the Commercial Retail Division of The Weitzman Group, one of the largest
commercial real estate brokerage firms in Texas. In
this position, he specializes in retail project leasing and retail tenant
representation throughout Dallas/Fort Worth, as well as site selection and
ground-up development for local and regional clients.
Shipp is responsible for leasing more than 2.5 million square feet of
commercial retail space across D/FW. Shipp
also handles the representation for a large portfolio of D/FW-area retail
projects controlled by Weitzman’s sister company, Cencor Realty Services.
Prior to joining The Weitzman Group, Shipp was a real estate broker for
Irwin Realty Group of Denton, where he handled leasing and property management
responsibilities as well as the overall supervision of a team of sales
professionals. He also has experience in multi-family development, financing and
land acquisitions with Pinnacle Realty of Dallas.
On behalf of a Cencor joint venture, Shipp also handles the leasing of a
765,000-square-foot enclosed shopping mall called Golden Triangle Mall located
in Denton, north of Dallas.
Honors and Awards
Shipp has been recognized as a Top 10 Producer
for Weitzman’s Dallas/Fort Worth office and was honored in 2010 as a “Rookie
of the Year Heavy Hitter”, a designation by the Dallas Business Journal that
recognizes the leading commercial real estate brokers in North Texas.

Shopping Centers, the ICSC Next Gen, the North Texas Commercial Association of
Realtors, The University of North Texas Real Estate Club and Young Real Estate
Professionals.
Education
Shipp
received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate and Finance
from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
