David Patton Associate -D/FW Commercial Retail  Division The Weitzman Group dpatton@weitzmangroup.com Professional Background David Patton  is an Associate with the D/FW Commercial Retail Division of The Weitzman Group, one of the largest regional commercial real estate firms in the U.S.  He focuses on retail project representation and retail tenant representation, as well as site selection.  Patton’s previous real estate experience includes Austin-based Patton Development, LLC, a real estate development firm he founded. He led the acquisition and development of several projects, including Tech Ridge Center and Stratford Mountain. His experience also includes leadership of a privately held securities firm and of a secure communications technology company, where he remains a current board member. He also led venture capital funding and strategic initiatives for a start-up medical device manufacturer. Organizations Patton is a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors and the International Council of Shopping Centers Education Patton received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also took graduate programs in Community & Regional Planning and Architecture.
