Professional Background Michele Gary, a commercial real estate professional with more than 15 years of experience in real estate, is a Vice President with the Austin Commercial Retail Division of The Weitzman Group. In this position, Gary specializes in tenant and project representation in the Austin area. Prior to joining Weitzman, she worked with Austin-based Danly Properties and McClung Properties. In addition to Danly Properties, Gary managed the leasing and acquisitions of several commercial real estate firms. She also worked with MGM Holdings to lease, manage and reposition a $75 million portfolio of retail, office and multi-family properties prior to liquidation. Organizations Gary is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. She serves on the CCIM Board of Directors and is involved with Central Texas Association of Realtors (CTCAR), Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA), and the Commercial Leasing Brokers Association (CLBA). Honors and Awards Gary is recognized by CoStar as Power Broker Award recipient in its Top Retail Leasing Category, an award given to the top brokers in Texas. The Austin Business Journal has named Gary as a Heavy Hitter in the Retail Leasing Category, recognizing her as one of the most successful retail brokers in the Austin area. For The Weitzman Group, she is a consistent top producer for the Central Texas region. Gary is a candidate for the prestigious Certified Commercial-Investment Member designation awarded by the CCIM Institute.
