Professional Background Lyle Cowand, a commercial real estate professional with more than two decades of experience, is a Senior Vice President with the Houston office of The Weitzman Group, one of the largest regional commercial real estate brokerage firms in the country. Cowand is responsible for retail tenant representation and retail project representation in the Greater Houston area for Weitzman. Cowand will also handle leasing for new development projects. Prior to joining The Weitzman Group, Cowand was a senior vice president with the Houston office of Transwestern, where he was responsible for sourcing new retail development opportunities for the company and other developer clients, as well as handling retail tenant representation. Cowand has worked with noteworthy clients including Friendswood Development Company, General Electric, American General Insurance, Orix Real Estate Equities, Cedarwood Development, Walgreens and J.P.
