Professional Background
Chris Bynum is Vice President - Asset Management for the Houston office of Cencor Realty Services. In this position, Bynum is responsible for directing and overseeing the asset management and landlord representation of a portfolio of shopping centers in the Greater Houston area. He also is responsible for new-business generation.  Prior to joining Cencor, Bynum practiced real estate law in his own Houston-based practice. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and General Counsel for the nation’s 9th largest self-storage developer and operator, overseeing $500 million in assets in more than 80 real estate holdings.  Bynum began practicing law in 1996 after working for a number of years as an Asset Manager for various affiliates of Banc One Corporation, during which he was responsible for a $100 million portfolio of real estate assets.

Professional Designations
Bynum holds the Asset Management Certification from the International Council of Shopping Centers as well as the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the CCIM Institute.  He is licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas and is a licensed Broker by the Texas Real Estate Commission.

Bynum is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the CCIM Institute, the Urban Land Institute and the State Bar of Texas.

Education
Bynum received a Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
